What is a service dog?  A service dog helps a person with a disability lead a more independent life.  According to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service dog is “a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.”

A Service Dog is significantly different from an Emotional Support Dog based on the amount of training that goes into the canine.  An Emotional Support Dog does not have the same amount of public access that a Service Dog has, and isn’t a fully-trained support animal.

Emotional Support Dogs have public access to some areas based on the determination of the location staff and policies.  Locations have the right to refuse access to ESA dogs.  Service Dogs, on the other hand,  have access to ALL public areas.

Pricing for ESA dogs is between $1000 and $2500, depending on the canine and handler needs for training.  Pricing for Service Dogs starts at $2500 and goes up from there.  Pricing is determined by specific needs and training time.

Our Service Dog curriculum is extensive and the amount of training involved is determined by the specific needs.  To view the Service Dog curriculum, please click on the link below.  It will open a new browser window.
