Out of all trainers that we looked at, we made the best decision of working with Dan. Dan is a very kind, passionate professional dog trainer. We can tell that he truly cares about dogs. Wilson is very shy around new people. But Wilson bonded quickly with Dan, who was the first person that Wilson opened up to someone who was not in the household. We did have him interact with new people, and he has been doing much better! We are so thankful to Dan. I definitely appreciate his quick, honest feedback and flexibility to work around the schedule. We will continue to train Wilson with all of the commands that we were taught.

Wanted to tell you that you did a great job with Wheaton. He was aggressive to people and other animals. Would not walk on a leash or listen at all at home. You have done a miracle job with him. It was super helpful when you would demonstrate the goal first and then have me try it and give me corrections. It was also helpful when you helped me improve my tone of voice. That made a huge difference. I appreciate your technique of training the owner so that they can train their dog. I feel really empowered and like how I can control her behavior now. I really liked how you had us work with her in different circumstances such as different places in the yard/street or the park. I think that really helped us succeed in training her as well. I think you taught us everything Athena needed and the main reason she struggled so much was my laziness and inability to be stern. But I’m getting there, that harsher tone is coming out. I highly recommend Dan Harr and Georgia K9 Training! My family of 6 and our six month old German Shepherd, Stella, recently completed 6 weeks of basic obedience training with Dan. We asked Georgia K9 Training to teach Stella manners (including sit, stay, heel, down, and come). We quickly learned that the real work was in teaching the people! With Dan’s guidance, Stella made great strides, but even more importantly, our entire family (including children ages 16, 14, 12, and 9) is now equipped to continue teaching Stella to be a well-mannered member of our family and community.
We will absolutely call Dan when we are ready to refine Stella’s skills as she grows.
